This page is also a holding page for the web site www.bioimage.org, which previously provided information about and access to the BioImage database.

The original BioImage project is now complete, and funding for it has ceased. The lessons learned from this work are now being applied to a new generation of sematic web image databases based on third party platforms, in whose development we are working closely with specific life science research projects.
